The JH-N neck pickup features individual ceramic pole pieces and a larger, taller core than the classic EMG 60. The result is increased attack and output, combined with a fuller, more substantial low end that gives the neck position plenty of authority without losing clarity.
At the bridge, the JH-B uses steel pole pieces and the same larger core design. Unlike the EMG 81's bar magnet construction, this configuration provides the familiar fast, focused attack while reducing inductance for a cleaner and more controlled low end. The result is a powerful bridge tone that stays articulate under heavy gain.
