Like traditional gut strings, New NylgutŪ can be sensitive to sharp edges. Before installing the strings, ensure that the nut and bridge are smooth, free of burrs, and that the nut slots are not too deep. Any rough spots can be carefully smoothed using very fine sandpaper (such as 600 grit) or extra-fine steel wool (000).
Important
New NylgutŪ delivers its best tone once the strings have fully settled, which can take some time. To speed up the process and achieve stable tuning within minutes, gently pinch each string at its midpoint, pull it firmly sideways, and retune. Repeat until the string holds its pitch consistently.
