Roland TD-07KV2 & TD-07DMK2 V-Drums Kits

Roland's new TD-07KV2 and TD-07DMK2 V-Drums kits combine realistic V-Drums playability with compact designs, quiet in-room performance and powerful practice features. Both kits are designed to provide an excellent foundation for learning and developing proper drumming techniques, making them ideal for beginners, returning players and drummers looking for a high-quality electronic kit for home use.

Both models feature Roland's acclaimed TD-07 sound module, V-Drums mesh-head pads and a range of interactive practice tools designed to make learning more engaging. Bluetooth connectivity also allows you to connect a smartphone or tablet and play along with your favourite music.

The latest generation of these kits also benefits from a new approach to hardware packaging, with the drum stand partially pre-assembled to make setup quicker and easier. Reduced packaging materials also help minimise waste.

Two Full Kit Configurations

The TD-07KV2 and TD-07DMK2 share the same five-piece configuration and TD-07 module, but offer different pad and cymbal configurations to suit different playing requirements.

Roland TD-07KV2

The TD-07KV2 provides a larger configuration with upgraded 10-inch snare and tom pads, two 12-inch cymbals and a second crash cymbal. It offers a more substantial playing experience while retaining the compact footprint that makes V-Drums particularly suitable for home use.

Roland TD-07DMK2

The TD-07DMK2 is the more compact configuration, making it an excellent choice where space is limited. It features the same upgraded 10-inch snare and 8-inch tom pads as the TD-07KV2, together with a compact cymbal setup.

Natural V-Drums Feel

Both kits feature Roland mesh-head pads, delivering a responsive and natural playing feel while helping to keep acoustic noise to a minimum. The upgraded snare pad supports rimshots and cross-stick playing, giving you greater expression and allowing you to develop more authentic drumming techniques.

The upgraded tom pads provide improved response and playability, while the cymbals feature a natural swinging motion for a more realistic playing experience.

The dynamic hi-hat system provides smooth transitions from closed to open positions and also supports cymbal splash techniques, helping you develop a more expressive playing style.

A large KD-10 kick pad is included with both kits and supports both single and double kick pedals.

Powerful Practice Features

The TD-07 module includes a comprehensive selection of tools to help you practise, develop your timing and make steady progress.

An upgraded Coach mode provides interactive exercises and game-style practice features designed to improve timing skills while tracking your progress. Daily drills provide further inspiration, including the new Blast Beast exercise for developing speed and endurance.

You can also connect your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth and play along with songs, making practice sessions more enjoyable and engaging.

Both kits also include Drum Pass, an exclusive Roland bundle providing 100 free Melodics™ lessons specifically curated for V-Drums players. No paid membership is required to access these included lessons.

Room to Upgrade

Both the TD-07KV2 and TD-07DMK2 provide plenty of scope for future upgrades. The wider centre pipe on each stand provides room to upgrade to the KDQ-8 V-Drums Quiet Design kick pad, while Roland offers a wide selection of compatible pads and hardware.

The TD-07KV2 can also be used with the NEQ-K and NEQ-H pedal bases from the V-Drums Quiet Design range to help reduce kick and hi-hat pedal sound transfer in the home.

Other useful accessories include the KDP-5 kick patch, which can help reduce pad wear, and the RSH-10 smartphone holder, designed specifically for mounting a smartphone to your V-Drums stand.
