Yamaha CLP-700 Series Digital Pianos
Express your true musical self
The Yamaha CLP-700 series transforms every subtle nuance of your touch into an incredible range of sound that captures your unique style as a musician. With the latest technology, these digital pianos are as expressive as grand pianos, offering a playing experience that exceeds expectations and takes digital piano performance to new heights.
Playability
At the heart of the CLP-700 series is the advanced GrandTouch-STM keyboard, delivering a broad dynamic range and response comparable to that of a grand piano. This ensures excellent consistency and nuanced expression, giving you complete control over every touch.
Sensitivity
Grand Expression Modeling is an innovative technology that allows you to use your technique to create the limitless tonal variations unique to grand pianos. By varying the intensity and speed of your touch, you can produce a wide range of tones, adding depth and emotion to your performance.
Sound Quality
The CLP-700 series faithfully reproduces the powerful, brilliant tone of the Yamaha CFX alongside the rich, natural resonance of the Bösendorfer Imperial. Both pianos benefit from new binaural sampling that captures the full ambience and creates a stress-free experience when playing with headphones.
Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) intricately simulates the sympathetic resonance of strings and the body of a grand piano, adding realism and depth to every note. Additionally, new fortepiano voices open the door to the classical music of the 18th and early 19th centuries, expanding your expressive possibilities.
Grand Expression Modeling
The unique interaction between hammers, dampers and strings inside a grand piano responds to the subtlest nuances of your touch. This creates a limitless range of tonal expression that goes beyond volume and softness to include how quickly and deeply keys are pressed or released.
The CLP-700 series captures this with Grand Expression Modeling, enabling you to vary output by playing keys to different depths and speeds. This technology also allows advanced techniques such as trills, legato playing and emphasising melodies over accompaniment with natural, expressive tone.
Design and Visual Features
The CLP-700 series models from CLP-735 to CLP-795GP share a sleek, uniform front-end silhouette. Once powered off, all indicator lights switch off so only a single on/off switch remains visible.
You can customise this switch-off behaviour and adjust the click sound feedback. The power indicator has been moved from the front panel to the on/off switch, located to the right of the keyboard. A carefully chosen range of colours rounds off the series’ elegant design.
