We have recently taken in this second hand Larrivee OM-02 originally purchased in 2017. The 2017 models feature some major upgrades not included on older models such as scalloped parabolic bracing and a one piece neck. This model also comes with a premium arch top hard shell case which Larrivee have downgraded to a flat top case in recent years.
The guitar is in immaculate condition and comes with original case candy. There is some minor fret wear around fret 2 and 3 but this does not affect the playability in any way and is very hard to spot.
Otherwise, this model represents exceptional value for money and offers a good saving over the cost of a new Larrivee.
Larrivee OM-02
The Larrivee OM-02 acoustic guitar is built from all solid wood, with a Sitka Spruce top, Sapele back and sides and a 3 piece mahogany neck. The OM-shaped body in combination with the woods provides a clear, powerful sound with excellent articulation. A natural satin finish brings out the beautiful character of the tonewoods.
The neck of the OM-02 is hand-fitted using a traditional dovetail joint for maximum strength and excellent tone. Further tonal improvement is supplied by the Graphtec TUSQ nut, saddle and bridge pins, while the ebony fingerboard and bridge and synthetic tortoiseshell pickguard keep the instrument looking elegant.
The Larrivee OM-02 Series is built in the same Californian factory as every other Larrivee guitar. The all solid wood construction features solid Canadian Sitka Spruce tops and solid African Sapele back and sides. Also included is a Larrivee Hard Shell Case.
