Fender Pugilist V2 Distortion
The Fender® Pugilist V2 Distortion is a powerful dual-engine analogue distortion pedal designed to deliver everything from articulate overdrive to massive, saturated high-gain tones. Housing two completely independent distortion circuits within a single enclosure, the Pugilist V2 allows players to create layered gain structures that go far beyond the capabilities of a traditional distortion pedal.
Each distortion engine features its own dedicated footswitch and independent Gain, Tone and Level controls, allowing you to create two distinct voices. Engine A is voiced for tighter, brighter lead tones with enhanced clarity, while Engine B delivers a thicker, heavier distortion perfect for chunky rhythm playing and high-gain riffs. Activate either circuit independently or combine them for an enormous range of drive textures.
At the heart of the Pugilist V2 is the versatile Path switch, which offers three routing options for the two distortion circuits. Two Series modes stack one engine into the other, creating cascading gain structures that behave much like switching between multiple amplifier channels. Parallel mode runs both circuits side by side, allowing you to blend each distortion voice using the individual Level controls for exceptional tonal flexibility and clarity.
Global Bass Boost and Mid Cut switches provide additional shaping to refine your final sound, making it easy to tighten the low end, add weight or carve out the perfect place in a mix. With switchable true or buffered bypass, multiswitch footswitch operation and a rugged aluminium enclosure, the Pugilist V2 is built for demanding studio sessions and live performance alike.
