At the heart of the instrument is a pair of newly designed V-Mod III Jazz Bass® single-coil pickups, offering enhanced articulation while preserving the punch, clarity and dynamic response that define the classic Jazz Bass sound. From warm, rounded grooves to bright, cutting attack, these pickups provide outstanding tonal versatility across every musical style.
The slim "C"-shaped maple neck features smooth rolled fingerboard edges, a silky Super-Natural satin finish and a sculpted neck heel, creating an effortlessly comfortable playing experience with improved access to the upper frets. A bone nut and 20 narrow-tall frets further enhance playability, providing precise intonation and smooth note bending.
A HiMass™ Pro bridge increases sustain, resonance and note definition, while ClassicGear™ Precision™ potentiometers offer exceptionally smooth and consistent control with carefully engineered resistance and taper, allowing accurate adjustments throughout their range.
