Boss RE-202 Space Echo

A Classic Returns for the Contemporary Age

Launched in 1974, the Roland RE-201 Space Echo remains one of the most revered and coveted effect units ever created. This tape-based legend enjoyed over 14 continuous years of production, and its characteristic rhythmic echo textures, warm sonic character, and uniquely playable sonic idiosyncrasies continue to captivate musicians, producers, and audio engineers more than four decades later.

Supported by extensive research and development alongside our latest technological advances, the RE-202 faithfully reproduces the authentic sound and behaviour of the Space Echo with unprecedented accuracy. Crafted by the company that originally designed the RE-201, this sophisticated pedal captures the Space Echo's enchantment in meticulous detail, from the magnetic tape and motor characteristics to the vibrant spring reverb and richly coloured preamp circuitry. Furthermore, we've enhanced the vintage Space Echo experience with numerous contemporary features tailored for today's musical landscape.
