The Rathbone R3CECE Grand-Auditorium Electro Acoustic Guitar combines premium tonewoods, a comfortable body shape and versatile onboard electronics to create an impressive all-round acoustic guitar. Designed for players who want a guitar that performs equally well at home, in rehearsal or on stage, the R3CECE offers a rich and expressive acoustic voice with plenty of projection.

At the heart of the guitar is a Solid Cedar top, chosen for its naturally warm and responsive tonal character. The cedar top is paired with Ebony back and sides, creating an attractive contrast while adding brightness, volume and definition to the overall sound. Together, these tonewoods provide an excellent balance of warmth, clarity and low-end presence.

Grand-Auditorium Body Shape

The Rathbone No.3 features a Grand-Auditorium body shape, offering a useful middle ground between the comfortable proportions of an orchestra-style guitar and the greater body volume of a dreadnought.

Its larger lower bout and deeper body cavity produce a fuller bass response and increased projection, while the defined waist helps the guitar remain comfortable to play when seated or standing. The result is a versatile acoustic guitar with plenty of power without feeling unnecessarily bulky.

With its 650mm (25.5") scale length, the R3CECE provides a familiar playing feel and plenty of room across the fingerboard, making it equally suitable for strumming, fingerstyle playing and more contemporary acoustic techniques.

High-Quality Tonewoods and Components

The mahogany neck is paired with a rosewood fingerboard and bridge, providing a comfortable playing surface and a traditional combination of materials. A bone nut and saddle help maximise the transfer of string vibration, while D'Addario EXP-16 strings complement the guitar's balanced acoustic character.

The guitar is finished in gloss lacquer, allowing the natural beauty of the cedar and ebony to shine through. Open-gear chrome machineheads provide a classic appearance and straightforward tuning adjustment.
