At the heart of the instrument is the new V-Mod III split-coil Precision Bass® pickup, voiced to deliver the legendary punch, warmth and growl that have made the P Bass® a staple of countless recordings. With improved articulation and dynamic response, it provides everything from deep, supportive low end to clear, defined attack that sits perfectly in any mix.

The modified 1963 medium "C"-shaped maple neck features smooth rolled fingerboard edges, a silky Super-Natural satin finish and a newly sculpted neck heel for exceptional comfort and effortless access to the upper frets. Twenty narrow-tall frets and a bone nut provide a familiar yet refined playing experience with improved precision and sustain.

A HiMass™ Pro bridge enhances sustain, resonance and note definition while maintaining rock-solid tuning stability. Premium ClassicGear™ Precision™ potentiometers deliver smooth, consistent control with a carefully tuned taper, allowing precise adjustment of volume and tone throughout their full range.
