BOSS Katana-25 Guitar Amplifier
Your tone. Dialled in.
The BOSS Katana-25 is a compact, versatile guitar amplifier designed to make everyday playing more inspiring. Combining acclaimed Katana tone with six amp characters, over 60 built-in BOSS effects, Bluetooth connectivity and a dedicated companion app, it gives beginners and experienced guitarists alike plenty of room to explore new sounds, practise and develop their playing.
Authentic Amp Tone and Feel
Powered by BOSS Tube Logic technology, the Katana-25 delivers the responsive feel and dynamic character associated with valve amplifiers. Its 25-watt reactive analogue power section works in harmony with a custom 8-inch speaker to produce a full, punchy sound with rich bass, detailed highs and expressive dynamics.
The specially designed open-back cabinet provides satisfying sound in a compact, lightweight format, making the Katana-25 well suited to home practice and everyday use.
Versatile Tones and Effects
Six amp characters, each with a variation, cover a wide range of musical styles, from sparkling cleans and warm blues tones to classic rock and high-gain sounds. A dedicated acoustic character also makes the amplifier suitable for acoustic-electric instruments.
You can further shape your sound with over 60 BOSS effects, including modulation, delay, reverb and distortion, with up to five effects available simultaneously. The BOSS Tone Studio app provides access to the full effects selection and deeper editing options, giving you even more scope to create your own sounds.
Easy Controls and Custom Presets
The intuitive control panel features gain, volume and three-band EQ controls for straightforward tone shaping. The Tone Setting section includes 20 ready-to-play presets and 10 additional slots for storing your own sounds, making it easy to save and recall favourite settings.
A built-in tuner keeps you in tune, while the tap tempo button lets you synchronise delay effects to your playing. You can also adjust core amp and effects parameters directly from the panel without needing to open the app.
Great Tone at Home-Friendly Volumes
Selectable Power Control lets you switch between the full 25-watt output and a reduced 0.5-watt setting. This allows you to achieve rich, driven amp tones at more manageable volumes while retaining the responsive feel of the amplifier. A headphone output is also provided for quiet practice.
Bluetooth, Recording and Playing Along
Integrated Bluetooth allows you to stream music from a compatible smartphone, tablet or other device through the amplifier or headphones, making it easy to practise along with your favourite tracks.
The BOSS Tone Studio app offers detailed sound editing and access to BOSS Tone Exchange, where you can explore sounds shared by other players. Its Session function lets you browse and play YouTube content within the app, with the option to programme automatic Tone Setting changes as you play along.
A class-compliant USB-C interface enables direct recording to a computer or compatible mobile device, making the Katana-25 a practical choice for home recording as well as everyday practice.
Flexible Footswitch Control
For hands-free operation, connect a compatible BOSS FS-series wired footswitch to switch Tone Settings while playing. Wireless control is also available using the optional FS-1-WL Wireless Footswitch or EV-1-WL Wireless Expression Pedal.
