BOSS EX-4 Effects Expander
The EX-4 is a premium BOSS effects unit that instantly expands the sonic capabilities of any pedalboard setup. This compact powerhouse delivers up to four simultaneous effects from a vast onboard library, accessed through an intuitive user interface, flexible footswitches and a versatile range of connectivity options.
With 120 premium BOSS effects to choose from, the EX-4 covers everything from overdrive, distortion and modulation to delay, reverb and bass-focused effects. Specialised sounds such as Slow Gear and Slicer are also included, while a range of utility effects provides further flexibility. Up to four effects can be combined simultaneously, with 128 preset memories for both guitar and bass and a further 128 user memories for your own creations.
The EX-4 is designed for intuitive hands-on control, featuring a 2.4-inch full-colour display, dedicated effect buttons and dual multi-function footswitches with colour LEDs. The footswitches can be assigned to a range of functions including effect switching, preset selection and tap tempo, while Manual and Memory modes provide flexible ways to operate the unit.
Connectivity is equally versatile, with mono or stereo inputs and outputs, an effects loop for integrating external pedals, expression and additional footswitch connections, and TRS MIDI. The EX-4 also includes BOSS Gear Suite settings, which provide professionally configured starting points that can be adjusted to suit your setup.
Despite its extensive capabilities, the EX-4 remains compact enough for pedalboards where space is at a premium. It measures just 117 x 138 x 63mm and weighs 800g, and comes supplied with a PSA Series AC adaptor and four rubber feet.
