I started off learning the clarinet using the "Tune a Day" series of books about 30 years ago! Now my daughter has started to learn the flute and her teacher recommended this book. He deliberately recommended this version rather than the "new-look" Tune a Day books.
The book seems a good introduction for a beginner, gradually introducing new notes and fingering and simple tunes are introduced early on so the learner will quickly progress onto tunes they recognise.
