Huss & Dalton DR-H Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar & Case
We have taken delivery of these beautiful Huss & Dalton models. To keep these guitars pristine they aren't on display in our showroom but are available to look at upon request. Upon opening these guitars, each one has light marks in the pickguard region, presumably from where they test and set the guitar up initially. Perhaps it would be good if they used a protective film on the pickguard but they are the type of marks that appear after the first few plays and are not particularly noticeable in any realistic way. However, we wanted to point this out.
The D-RH is a dreadnought brought up to date with a radiused top and the red spruce bracing found in all H&Ds. The radiused top brings a boost to the mid-range for a more balanced tonal palette . It was clearly designed with the bluegrass picker in mind, but with enough dynamic range to be enjoyed by the finger-stylist who requires a big voice in his instrument. Indian rosewood back and sides with a Sitka spruce top are standard. The elegance of curly maple binding and fine herringbone top purfling belies the D-RH's willingness to rip it up on stage.
