The F-40 Valencia has a Guild original grand orchestra-style body based on the 1954 version, with a 16" lower bout and slightly narrow upper bout for a unique tone with lots of depth. The scalloped braced red spruce top and mahogany body produces a dynamic range of tones, from warm and intimate to punchy and aggressive. Glossed nitrocellulose lacquer with bone saddle, pins and nut. It also has lovely tortoise bindings.
Having a new one of these guitars in stock is awesome; genuine NOS! This model was made in 2010 but has just arrived with us from the Guild supplier in 2021! It had somehow slipped through the cracks and once it was on my radar I snapped it up. The condition is excellent and it sounds great but it comes simply with a Polyfoam Guild case rather than the Deluxe Hard Case as they appear to have been separated at some point. Very cool guitar and at a massive discount to factor in for the fact it is older stock.
