This short musical is a clever interpretation of Hans Christian Andersen’s ‘The Little Match Girl’, which interweaves the original tale with the Nativity story, and places both within a Victorian Christmas fair. It is straightforward to produce as there is relatively little dialogue and most of the action is integral to the songs. It’s a very moving piece, especially when performed in the round.
