Features: 110cm Frame Solid Spruce Soundboard The use of a high quality solid spruce soundboard provides Schimer pianos with a high and clean level of sound amplification. The Schimer brand also has a tapered soundboard, from 9mm to 7mm, which assists in projecting the tone, resulting in a full and dynamic sound. Red Beech, Dehonit Pinblock and Schimer pianos use red beech in the construction of their high quality, multi-ply, compression based pinblock which provides a superior grip for tuning pins resulting in reliable tuning stability. Solid, Hard Maple Bridge The use of a solid, hard maple bridge ensures that the tones are transferred to the soundboard in a clean and precise manner, producing a clear sound with a resonant sustain. Schirmer upright pianos feature capped, solid maple bass bridges. Five, Full length Back Posts The back assembly on Schirmer upright pianos uses a system of five back posts that run the full height of the piano and are notched into the piano frame. This design adds a high level of strength and stability to the plate and to the frame.
