Mann's Music has been selling Kemble pianos since the early 1960's. Kemble Pianos started business in Stoke Newington in 1911 with founder Michael Kemble. The business, much like Mann's Music, has been passed down through the generations firstly in the 1950's when Robert Kemble took over, and then to Brian Kemble in the early 80's. Many a deal was done between Robert and our chairman David Mann during the 1960's with great products such as the Kemble Minx and later in the 70's with iconic products such as the Classic. In 1969 Kemble relocated to the new town of Milton Keynes and in the same year began a joint venture with Yamaha. In 1985 this collaboration resulted in the Kemble factory producing a range of Yamaha pianos for sale within the UK and two years later this boundary was extended to Europe. Kemble and Company went on to win the Queen's award for Export in 1992. In more recent times Kemble have won many awards including their best selling model the Conservatoire which won the 'Best Piano of the Year' by the UK's music industry in 2006. In 2009 production was transferred to Yamaha's state of the arts manufacturing facility in Indonesia. In conjunction with Brian Kemble they have been designed to the traditions of the UK specification and still hold that special sound which has been so loved over the last 100 years.
