Orchestration Solo Violin 1, Solo Violin 2, Strings (Violin 1, Violin 2, Viola, Cello, Bass) This concerto is in three linked sections: an opening Moderato presents the main thematic material, followed by an Allegretto which explores the themes further, rounded off by a Vigoroso finale based on the inversion of the main theme. The concerto takes its cue from Holst´s Double Concerto, in which the soloists do not indulge in technical display but provide a contrast to the orchestra with whom they share the simple thematic material within a relatively brief structure. Duration: 12 minutes A PACK comprises one full score, string parts 4/4/3/4/2 and any wind, brass and percussion parts.
